A school coordinated pickup for about 700 students and 300 families with three people passing information down the line. One person checked in cars and texted student names. Another tracked the messages and called out the names. A third checked students out on the way to the pickup line.
I built Laneroo as a browser-based system that works on the phones and tablets the school already had. Staff scan a family QR code at the first station. The student queue updates live at the second. The third station records each completed pickup.
The school also has one place to manage students and families, distribute or revoke QR codes, and run reports. The daily screens work on low-data connections, and parents do not need to download an app.
